The challenge
Tawakkalna needed to serve citizens and residents through sharp changes in demand while connecting to SDAIA’s mostly internal services. Rapidly evolving requirements called for an integration layer that could change without repeatedly altering backend systems. Caching, circuit breakers, blue/green deployments, orchestration and centralized control were important design patterns.
The approach
The profile describes Apigee as a dedicated, horizontally scalable API management layer. Its built-in capabilities handled integration and traffic-management needs centrally, helping the team respond to changing requirements and reducing the need to implement the same controls in individual backend services.
